Natural Remedy For Tinnitus 1

A wide variety of natural remedies for tinnitus have been claimed. And over the years anecdotal there are claims to support just about every nutritional supplement and herb available. The probability of these working for a large majority of people is minimal. A natural remedy for tinnitus will involve a guided holistic approach which I will discuss at the end of this article. I will now review the evidence for some nutritional supplements and their role in tinnitus relief.

Let’ start with the B-complex vitamins. Because of their interrelationship with their function on the human enzyme system they have been grouped together as a family. A deficiency in these vitamins has been demonstrated to result in tinnitus, and supplementation may help the symptoms. The B-vitamins are a group of water soluble and easily absorbed vitamins, although vitamin B 12 is commonly administered by intramuscular injection or sublingually. Because the B-complex vitamins are not fat soluble, they cannot be stored in the body and therefore must be replaced each day by food or supplements.

Some tinnitus sufferers have claimed that vitamin B 1 supplements helped relieve their tinnitus. A proposed mechanism behind this benefit could be through a stabilization effect on the nervous system, especially in the area of the inner ear.

Clinically speaking unfortunately there is no proof for the effectiveness of niacin (b3) as a natural remedy for tinnitus. Testing of this sort of nature is difficult to prove because of what is known as the placebo effect that arises from the niacin flush sensation instead of a therapeutic value of the resulting vasodilation (which results in increased blood flow to the head). There is a large amount of anecdotal evidence for niacin in treating tinnitus.

Supplemental B 6 is usually used as a therapy for morning sickness, nausea, depression and tinnitus. It can be found in natural foods such as brewers yeast, eggs, chicken, fish, avocados, bananas, whole grains and brown rice.

Unfortunately the B vitamins may only be a piece of the puzzle for most people in their quest for a natural remedy for tinnitus. The approach will probably entail a more well rounded approach of nutritional supplementation, dietary changes and lifestyle factors. I really recommend a resource to help guide you through this approach, that way you know you can trust the information, everything is all laid out for you in a simple and easy to follow plan. This would be the best approach for relieving your tinnitus. The best program that I have seen to cover all the aspects of tinnitus relief is the tinnitus miracle program. No other program is as comprehensive and evidence based as this, and most importantly it works.
